Let's talk brushes!

There are a lot out there, and they are NOT created equally. Here are a few of my go-to brushes and why I love them.

Artist, Jenna Rainey, worked with with Princeton to create this one! It is the perfect long handle brush to use when creating those loose florals. It's a size 12 filbert brush, so the belly is fuller. Check out Jenna's Instagram!
I fell in love with these instantly! Available in sizes 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8, these hold so much water! They're soft, durable, and a definitely favorite of mine. They're also very affordable!
This one takes some practice, but it's SO fun to use! It creates perfect leaves and delicate flowers! It's also available in a set with an instructional DVD if you want to go all in. Jen Sweeney, a floral watercolor artist, uses it almost exclusively and her instagram reels are very helpful!
If you're a ride or die Princeton artist, their Petal Brush is the same: size 10, size 8, size 6.
The durability of Liquitex brushes means they withstand the test of time, maintaining their shape and performance even after countless painting sessions. These are wonderful for larger acrylic pieces! The set is a bargain and Liquitex is reputable and well-known for their quality!.
I know, they're not brushes, but they're a definite must have! The set is good to have and you will use them ALL! If you want to start smaller, I definitely recommend either the black wedge (my fave) or the white wedge. A plus? They're SO easy to clean!
I've included affiliate links to each of these brushes, so you can experience the magic in your own studio. By using these links, you not only support your art but also contribute to the continued creation of content like this.
